JAKARTA – Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) Ignasius Jonan today, Thursday (4/5) met with Freeport McMoran CEO Richard Adkerson.
Adkerson who was accompanied by Toni Wenas and Clementiono Lamury before entering the Sarulla Room of Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources as a meeting place, appear from the Heritage building that is the room of Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Ignatius Jonan.
In a meeting entitled “The development of problem solving of PT Freeport Indonesia’s continuation of operations”, attended also the Director General of Customs of the Ministry of Finance Heru Pambudi, and Regent Mimika Eltinus Omaleng.
Based on the source, this meeting follows up on previous negotiations which are short-term and long-term negotiations. One of the discussions is the sustainability of mining operations, strike action and ulayat rights.
