JAKARTA – Director General of Electricity Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM), Jarman said the change in Indonesian crude price (ICP) formula has no significant impact on electricity tariffs.
As it is known, the ICP become a factor in setting the tariff adjustment for the 12 customer classification. However, the portion of the ICP in the rate calculation adjustment amounted to only 20 percent. The biggest share in setting the rates that the rupiah exchange rate at around 75 percent. While the remaining 5 per cent is the rate of inflation.
“ICP one of the three components (fare adjustment). Each has a weight,” Jarman said in Jakarta, Friday (22/7).

“Depending on how ICP affect could be down to go up. Just put into the formula (Adjustment rates). Although (ICP) higher than dollar exchange rate (electricity tariff) could go down,” he concluded.
